1. What areas does TFI Local Link Galway cover?
TFI Local Link Galway covers the rural areas of County Galway with over 60 services. While we do not serve the routes that other providers cover, our focus is on ensuring that the rural communities have reliable and accessible transportation options.
2. How much does it cost to travel with TFI Local Link Galway?
We strive to keep our prices as low as possible to ensure they are affordable for everyone. Children up to 5 years old travel for free. We accept the Leap Card & TFI Go App on the RRS routes, which offers up to a 30% discount. Additionally, the Free Travel Pass is accepted on all our services. 3. Are there any special services for people with disabilities?
All our services are accessible for people with disabilities. Please give us a call or email us at least one day before your trip to book your accessible space on the bus.
4. Can I bring my bicycle on the bus?
No, our rural buses do not have space to carry bicycles or large luggage. This policy helps ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers, as well as the smooth operation of our services.
5. Are pets allowed on TFI Local Link Galway buses?

Guide dogs are allowed on all TFI services. Owners should carry ID cards, and the dog should have a tag reading “Irish Guide Dog for the Blind.”

Assistance dogs are allowed on most services at staff discretion. They should wear an official coat, medallion, and lead. Accompanying adults should carry an ID card for the dog.

Therapy dogs are allowed on most services. They wear a yellow coat, collar, and lead to show they are members of Irish Therapy Dogs.
However, other pets are not allowed on our buses to ensure the safety and comfort of all passengers.
6. What should I do if I left something on the bus?
First, check the bus/route number to identify the operator. Our RRS buses/routes are: 431, 432, 438, 546, 547, 548, and 934. If you left your belongings on any other bus/route, it’s best to google the operator’s name as it is likely not one of our services, and we won’t be able to help you.

7. Are there any discounts available for students or seniors?
Yes, there are discounts available for students and seniors on TFI Local Link Galway services. Students can save up to 50% with a TFI Young Adult or Student Leap Card or TFI Go App. Seniors can use the Free Travel Pass, which is accepted on all our services.
8. Can I pay for my fare with a contactless card?
No, Debit/Credit Cards are not accepted on our services.

9. Are there any routes that require pre-booking?
Yes, our Door-to-Door Bus Services require pre-booking. Ideally, you should book at least one day before your trip. These services offer the convenience of being picked up and dropped off directly at your home.

TFI Local Link Galway buses have specific routes that operate on public holidays:
